I'm 20 years old and I still watch one or two animes once in a while, but not as much as before when I was in high school. Do you guys think there is a socially acceptable age limit to be watching anime? My uncle who is around 60 years old still watches anime, and that kinda freaks me out...

There is no age limit to anything. If someone thinks so then I am sorry for that human. It is just stupid when someone marks a point where you are no longer allowed to do anything after that. I am 17 and I watch anime and will probably watch it for my whole life. Should you stop collecting postmarks because someone said that only old people do it? No. You do it because you love it or like it.

i don't think there is age limit to watch anime or play games ... i know 40 years old people that still plays online games like l2 and such ... and watch anime 20+ age people :/ so i think everything is allrite

Cartoon are for any age its all about the content not the look.Also Anime can make things more believeable looking/seeming then we can with all are special affects.

Anyway. I do not believe there is a certain age in which watching anime would be considered "appropriate". It's just that our western culture judges cartoons, anime or cute stuff as something "childish", as if the person that enjoys such things lacks maturity. How to say it, our culture is based mostly on stereotypes; those who watch anime are freaks/childish/immature, those that get drunk on bars and start brawls are manly, powerful, etc.
