I just watched two anime series in under a week and Im addicted.
The two similarities that made me push myself to watch both(deathnote and CodeGeas) were they're mental war between two people. I dont want a new enemy every episode, two people overall trying rid of the other or beat them. Both equally intelegent. One had a "Chess" feel to it and the other was strictly chance and thought process however watching the mental battle rather then physical is AMAZING. I also loved the minor love stories in both, the first season of Code Geass hit me hard because of the relationships. Exciting blow your headoff battles aren't needed if theres short battles that the story doesen't revolve around it'd be a great bonus. The idea of this happening during a war (Prefebly futuristic, it's more interesting) makes it better. Kind of the way Code Geass did it. ANyways, are there any animes like this or did I jump into the two best anime's for me to quick. EDITTT: Ok I know 100% that Kaze No Stigma has NOTHING to do with either series but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. There were a few of those OMG IM A CRY moments and a calm VS Loud aragant kind of story. I'm starting Elfen Lied and No shana

I've also have had intentions of downloading it despite the mixed reviews, Ill check it out more.
Does anyone know any sites where I'd be able to see reviews / comparisions besides myanimelist Edit: I found a few that caught my eye mainly http://myanimelist.net/anime/4975/ChäoS;HEAd The synopsis looks worse then reviews / clips and http://myanimelist.net/anime/2025/Da...no_Keiyakusha/ Just sounds bad ***..Not to mention the mental part with death, they both battle for something beyond words. I think Im starting this one rightaaaaa way.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni.
It's a struggle between the anti-fantasy and the anti-mystery sides. A massacre happens in an island and the culprit is unknown. Some people claim this was caused by the Golden Witch (anti-mystery) during a ritual for her revival, where she used these people as sacrifices. Others try to explain everything by human means, claiming that there's no such thing as witches or magic (anti-fantasy). Overall, the whole series is about a game between Beatrice (the Golden Witch) and Battler (one of the people on the island), who denies witches and magic. If he finally accepts witches, Beatrice wins the game; if he finds the human culprit, Battler wins the game. |
