I would recommend you buy a netbook, those are cheap and lightweight and can run pretty good.

try one of these:

Dell mini 10

Asus Eee PC

I like my HP laptop a lot.
But that may just be me.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Asus.

However, don't buy dell's. The last 2 dell computers i had sucked some balls.
