Alright, so, if you'll quickly take a glance to the left... I joined this site simply because I can't find a fix ANYWHERE else, and I'm getting pretty desperate, so I figured you folks might be willing to help me.

Now, I can download the MS downloader fine. I can use the downloader to download the installer just fine. I can install the game just fine. But whenever I try to open the game and it tries to patch, I get a "550 No File or Directory" error, and another "550"-something underneath it. So, I think to myself, let's just retry. Once or twice it's given me that issue twice in a row, but normally after I retry the first time, it says my version of MS isn't the newest and I need the newest version. Lolwut? I just downloaded this today, didn't I?

So I've tried re-installing, re-downloading with the downloader, and I've tried completely redownloading all the way from the downloader. Heck, I'm queued in FilePlanet's downloader because I figure a Mirror might give me a working version. Is this a common issue that I just can't seem to find the answer for? Or is this honestly something unheard of? I've tried multiple times over the past two days, redoing this and that, and no matter how many times I redownload or reinstall, I get a 550, and a "Need newest version" on the patcher after that.

Something of importance to note might be that if I use the Manual patcher, it works fine until it says "[3/3] Creating base.wz", or "Writing"* maybe, I dunno. In any case, after it hits [3/3], it stops and freezes. The progress bar remains empty.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.

Ah, thanks for the redirect, but I figured out the problem myself once my Mirror Site download finished. For some reason, the MS Downloader was downloading v71 over and over, rather than v74. :/

Hopefully this topic helps out anyone with a similiar issue, and thanks for the heads-up, Chrome. I like your sig, too. >> <<
