Can I still enjoy this game without ever using the item mall? What items do most players buy from the shop, is it armor upgrades to make you level faster or something?

you can still enjoy the game without purchasing any premium items.
usually you can buy license from the item mall like auto-battle, teleportation, auto-search, etc. and also some blessing license that increases your exp rate.
and also you can buy item box that randomly give mounts or costumes

all of the item mall stuff can be bought in game as well. the only advantage of item mall buyers is that they get the prettier items faster. one good thing about this game is that when it comes to PVP a.k.a. free league, the matches are usually pretty fair because if youre stronger than your opponent in gear, the game automatically scales you down to match your opponent so it wont be a mismatch. only time there would be a mismatch is when you get somebody from a higher division which happens when there are few players entered to the tournament

there are so many item give away in the games and and events every weekends.. most of the items they will are the scrolls that you can use on your quest...

that's the hard part if you're going to compete in higher levels, most high level players are good item mall spenders, so you'll have the disadvantage

not really... Free League actually decreases your might if youre too OP for your opponent

yeah.. and you can't item mall weapons and armors anyways. their only advantage are the mounts and wings which are bought in random boxes and can be bought in game anyways.

if you are willing spend lots of cash for the mount /wing box
since it has a chance to give mounts or wings

then go for it, if not just spend on the package items

ya..it's cheaper than getting some of the license piece by piece...plus some ranges from 30-90 days
