I Think my computer is severely infected with viruses and I don't have a virus protector. I need something that can protect and remove them to.

I don't mind paying for it as long as its really affective I had Norton once but it sucked. Any suggestions?

McAfee? thats what i use and i havent gotten any viruses lately

You should have a combination of anti-virus and firewall. Avast is pretty good since it updates pretty much daily and alerts you when it detects a virus and gives you options as to what you want to do with it unlike some other anti-virus programs. It also has a on-line scanner which alerts you when it detects a web page that's unsafe and lets you abort the connection.

Comodo firewall gives you lots of option and its pretty good. Both programs are free =].

Isn't Avast a firewall aswell? mine is anyway.

if this doesnt make ur pc clean, nothing will. but its best to just stick with AVG free and Adaware + CCleaner first, if that doesnt help try the page below

i use AVG with Teatimer as a firewall, it seems to work pretty well.

NO Matter what anyone says, these are the best 2 programs on the market and there not free :P
