Just finished watching it.

WTF? More recap?
And apparently 2.0 is a recap, too?

I didn't even look at the plots for them because I wanted it to be a surprising plot advancement but I'm disappointed now lol

Is there any other media that continues the story, besides the main episodes and End of Evangelion?

Well, there were some slight changes on the storyline even if it was almost a perfect recap. From 2.0 and beyond we will see some pretty different things. The ending is supposed to be completely different than that of EoE.

(We will see the new girl pilot on 2.0, and the new Eva that comes from the moon, etc.)

It's a recap, but it will have a lot of surprises. Don't give up on it just yet.

Oh, I'm not giving up on it.

It was really well done and beautiful. I'm just craving more storyline.

How funny that this topic came up...me and a friend just watched this last night. And we came up with a lil theory......

These eva movies are not recaps but a sequel to the tv series!

Based on the clues they give you at the beginning and end of the movie it seems like the end of evangelion allready took place...and the world somehow "rebooted" itself. My friend thinks its because shinji has been given another chance to.....you know......not screw things up like he did before lol. But we will see

That's actually one of the most common theories on Eva forums. That somehow the universe got reset, but the consequences of the last ending didn't (you can see that the ocean is blood red, the moon has a red mark, etc.)

I don't know, I'm pretty sure we are gonna get a lot of surprises from 2.0 and beyond.
