Guys, I would like to have your attention for the following case;

Lately, a lot of things have been going on and wrong on OnRPG.


I'd like to ask you guys to keep this thread civilized,
because it would be great to hear the opinion of other OnRPG'ers.


Note to the mods/admins: This thread is not against the rules and
is allowed to remain here until it goes awfully wrong. We would
appreciate it if the mods and admins would also keep it civilized,
so please do not rage or flame or anything like that because you
want this thread to be closed or deleted.



To go back to the case;

I've talked to some OnRPG members and I've noticed that there are
some things going on lately that we all found quite unfair. These
things vary from threads getting locked to people getting banned
without a real, valid reason and people getting punished for silly,
harmless posts.


I'd like to know if you guys agree with me about the fact that things
can't go on like this and that it would be great if this could be
handled between the members, mods and admins.


I'd like to ask you guys to keep it civilized. Please do not flame,
swear or derail this topic. I want to know if you guys agree with me
about this or not.


Thanks for reading this and give me your opinion about this without
pointing to someone directly.

This also applies for me, sgtgrimmvegas. Ill still be here and there every once and a while, not OnRPG itself, mostly on msn or other places i can find to waist my time. if you ever need to speak with me get my msn from the people listed as my friends, one of them are bound to have it on them.

Onrpg is just to harshly moderated, seriously it's surposed to be a forum were we can discuss at let our hair down but it's not possible thanks to the SS.

Cinderboy got banned for advertising his blog, now he was one of the most productive members in the Free MMORPG forum with constant updates (on mainly asian) MMORPGs. Even if he was spamming (that he wasn't, he did link in a few posts and on his sig) it should of been forgiven as;
1) His blog is rather usefull,
2) It wasn't effecting anyone anyway.

I believe that's for us to decide, not you. A similar thread was provided in the recent past by the administrators for just this sort of thing, and has since been closed. If you find fault with the actions of a moderator or admin, report it to another member of the staff, not to the general section.

Since this appears to be the issue at hand, allow me to say that cinderboy acquired a total of 4 active infractions, only two of which were for advertising. The final infraction that ended in a permanent ban was preceded by a warning via PM asking him to remove his advertisement from his signature, which he refused to do. The end.
