I started to think a little about games that will not likely be up past 2010. If you're a person like me, I like to stick with a mmo for a very long time. For example I played SWG for 3 years, and WoW since launch. I only have perspective on P2P mmo's since I havn't played many F2P's for very long.

Lineage 2 - Development really has wound down on this game and I wouldn't be suprised if it shut in the U.S. but probably not in Korea due to it's massive player base in that country.

Warhammer Online - Mythic has ignored the players and really screwed the endgame up almost beyond repair at this point.

Champions Online - Even though the game is new it is starting to suffer the same effect that Bill Roeper had on Hellgate London. Massive nerf right out at release and ignoring the many bugs in the game and technical issues. The player base is already demanding refunds for lifetime subs and it just seems a little bleak at this point.

I'd like to keep the flames down but what are your thoughts on games that just simply won't last?

Well, 2010 is just around the corner... I suspect OGP's version of LaTale won't last until 2011, to be honest.

When it comes to P2P games I can't really tell. I mean, well established games like UO and EQ simply won't die, no matter how many years pass.

fun fact i think more people play Lineage 1 more than 2.
it is a fact because i said it is.

my guesses are as follows:
Sun: because its korean
C9: because i like shattering people's dreams.

Guild Wars once GW2 comes out. Well technically it won't die. It will just lose a majority of its players.

SUN might but C9 won't.

C9 is booming now.

crimecraft and champions online. crimecraft may be able to stay if it goes completely free. champions online is doomed.

Oh I totally forgot about Crimecraft, that game is beyond terrible. Another one I forgot is Fallen Earth, the game just seemed rushed and poorly designed.
