Hmm why don't you just try to sale the laptop and get a desktop?
It's hard to upgrade Laptops and some just can't be upgraded farther then the video card and ram. Also try visiting the manufacturer's site for info on how it was put together and if it can be upgraded and if so which components can be upgraded.

You need to be extremely lucky that you'd be able to change CPU and GPU.
And then you'd pay for a laptop dualcore what you'd pay for an i7 950. OP, it's probably not possible and if it would, you'd pay ALOT. Either buy a new laptop or desktop. Oh and that 8200M is probably the bottleneck. It is VERY weak. You can build a decent one for 500, search for them on google.

Yes you can build one for 500$ but if you want an awesome one spend at least 700$. I suggest cyberpower or tigerdirect.

I bet you could get atleast 150 dollars for it, 2GHz processor, nice video card, 3GB ram, as long as the HDD isnt 50GB you're golden. And you can build a desktop computer for about 400-700. Or buy even a cheap one with everything you need =P

That laptop isn't so crappy, in fact, if it were to have a better video card, I'd buy it for at least $500. Also, like the rest of the people said, it's nearly impossible to upgrade laptops. The only thing you can usually do is upgrade the hard drive, CPU(in some cases), memory, and in a very rare occasion, the video card.
