The terms mean something totally else.

Taking tylenol isn't going to cure my headache. It's going to take away some of the pain, and treat the problem a little, but in the end it'll have to go away on its own.

Radiation therapy, chemotherapy, surgery, etc, aren't considered "cures" since they don't always work. They're considered treatments because they can treat the problem enough that it goes away, at least for a time.

Really, cure is just a buzzword. I don't pay much attention to "potential cure" stories, but this is a "potential treatment" story which is something else.

The only "cure" for cancer would be to have a toxin-free, radiation-free environment with a metabolism that doesn't produce free radicals.

Well excuse me.
But not everyone thinks the same way.
A sick person with cancer that receives a treatment that destroys all the cancer inside his body will feel as if he was cured of it. Don't be so literal. Treatment leads to curing the person of the disease. I know that the treatment itself isn't a cure. A person can try all the treatments for cancer and still die, but for the few where a treatment saves them then you can say it has cured them.

That's to prevent cancer....not cure it.

A world like this wouldn't have cancer.
But lol almost no one would die.

Well yeah, of course, they were cured, but they weren't cured by a magic cure that has been the Holy Grail of the medical profession for the past forty odd years. Which is the kind of cure I thought you were referring to. My mistake if you weren't.

Yeah no sorry, I should have phrased it better. What I meant was that even if a person goes through treatment, cancer can and in many cases will return. The only way to permanently erase it would be to put the person that received the treatment in a toxin-free environment, etc.

I'm not sure why you quoted me, but I live in England and trust me whatever we make will more than likely turn out shit.
Seriously, I'm looking forward to the Olympics hosted in unfinished stadiums.

But on the otherhand we do have so pretty life changing stuff invented here, so if this does actually turn to a 'cancer' killer or even just a step towards it, it's pretty damn good.
