ok so ive been off mmo's for a long time now but decided to give this game a go since the videos and reviews seem quite positive (plus i played the WoW free trial and this game looks hella like WoW)

but i was wondering.... does the cash shop make the game totally unbalanced? like... is this game only worth playing if you buy items from the cash shop? because i cant see myself spending money on a f2p game that ive just started

You can buy the cash shop currency ingame with gold.

But yes you will have to use the cash shop one way or the other in order to be competitive, either by buying it with irl $ or farming gold for it.
