Default To those who's going to play Trickster, read this 1st.

First of all, I played Trickster online japanese version and here are some of my comments.

Pros:-
1. Quests are easy and straightforward. Items quest info will include what mobs and where to drill it. So very convenience. Every mob quest will have timer and the name of the mob that you should hunt.

2. You can check every mobs lvl by pressing ALT while near the mobs.

3. Lvling is quite easy for power type character by doing mob quests.

4. Low lvl mobs dont aggro, mobs lvl 18 and above will starts aggro.

5. Teleport gate, NPC's are marked on mini map.

Cons:-
1. Lvling for beginners is VERY-VERY hard/tedious/boring for magic and charm type character until at least TM(skill point, or called sp in some games) lvl 20, and to reach TM lvl 20 your character will be well over lvl 20. Power type can easily solo mobs and sense types can easily drill. Bear in mind also sense type is the only class that got 3 starting skills at TM lvl 1(Drill Protection,Assassin Attack and Inspiration). For magic and charm type, you basically need to drill(digging) all the times until TM lvl 20 at least because at TM lvl 20, more skills are available. (Yes, drilling for a few lvls is fun but imagine until TM lvl 20!)

2. Mob quest got lvl requirements. E.g. If your character lvl 10, you will receive mob quest killing mobs lvl 10 and above. So this is very hard for non-power and non-sense type character so non-power and non-sense type characters will mostly end up digging until they got better power starting from TM lvl 20.

3. Drill success rate depends heavily on sense stats. So if your character have low sense stats, most of the time you will end up getting useless items and not the quest items.

4. TM are hard to come by(at least at low lvl), means you need to carefully plan your character build from beginning(I'm not sure if we can reset the stats, and skills bought).

5. Lack of skills. Most probably most players will end up having same build because of lack of skills for same class, at least until job change at TM lvl 50.

6. Most players will confuse between lvl and TM lvl requirements at the beginning.

7. Lack of variations in quest. There are only mobs and items quests(killing mob or digging only)

Conclusions :-
1. Hard to get grip of this game at the beginning. Low lvl mobs shouldn't be hard to kill at least for characters below lvl 10, but in this game it is hard for magic and charm types characters.

2. Graphic was just OK for me and nothing to be proud of.

3. Gameplay quite limited in terms of quests, skills, grinding.

4. Gave a new whole meaning to grinding, which is drilling .

5. This game maybe not really attractive for casual gamers, it's more suited to hardcore gamers, IMO.

Suggestions :-

1. Plan your build from the very beginning.

2. Always party if you character is magic or charm types(at least until TM lvl 20).

3. Read http://tricksters.50webs.com and http://mytrickster.net/forum for more info. They got many important stuffs there for beginners.

-This is solely based on my opinions and experience on Japanese Trickster only, so please expect variations in English Trickster.

-Opinions and suggestions are welcomed. Flamers go die. I'm doing this thread this thread solely to help those who didn't played/tried Trickster yet.

90% of korean trickster users are casual gamers. you make it sound like magic ,charm , sense types are so weak specially sense =/ they get scarier the higher you dont expect fox to drill while kicking enemys at the sametime when you cant move while drilling? ; magic sure are hard at start but thats pretty much common sense in all games untill you get high enough to raise your skills :o charm is not hard unless you didnt go 4114 ;P

1. The last time i've checked, i'm using english to write this thread.

2. TM is :-
- basically skills points, everytime you kill something or drill, your character will receive experience and TM experience.
-TM got lvls and it's not the same as your character lvl. You may have character lvl 40 but your TM lvl maybe only lvl 30.
-Items, pets, quests got lvl requirements, not TM lvl requirements.
-Only skills got TM lvl requirements, so skills does not depends on your character lvl like most of other games. So example if your TM is lvl 10 and you used 2 points of TM to buy a skill, you TM lvl still lvl 10 and not deducted to lvl 8. But your total TM points in your possesion now is 8.

1. You got your points there, as I've stressed, it's important to plan your build. Wrong build may lead to not be able to fully enjoy this game.

No, I can't read japanese. But this game is fairly simple game compared to other Japanese/Korean games that I've played. But if you really want to play Trickster, I recommend you to wait for English version which "maybe" released by the end of this week, hopefully.

I'm not sure about Korean Trickster, but the japanese version quit easy to understand. Most UI(user interface) are in english, and mobs and items quests are explained with graphics(example where to hunt the mob, where to drill, what to kill, etc). The drawbacks for me is not to be able to understand some items/pets descriptions, none of those japanese wants to help me, party etc(it's sure bored to play solo), and also I can't buy those cool Myshop items. But none of those are big matters for me. I can play any non-english MMO but after some time it's not the language barriers that kills me but it's the feeling of lonelines when had to solo all the time that bores me.
