so i wanna take nursing at UT austin, but i heard that its REALLY HARD. so competitive that texas' "automatic admission if you are top 10% of your class" does not apply for it. i also heard that the cutoff point last year for automatic admission was top 3.2%. i am in like the top 2.99% of my class but im afraid they might lower the cutoff point this year. can anybody who knows someone in the UT austin school of nursing get me confirmation on past or current cutoff points for class rankings?
and this is only for PRE nursing the university's website tells me that only around 70 people get accepted into the upper level nursing classes (junior and senior year) |

i went to a debate tournament there.
there is a whole section of UT that is completely drugged out and has a bunch of homeless people there. a group lives behind the church also idk if you really want to go there, but good luck. & they wont lower the rate, trust me, that would mean barely any students get in |

If you really want to pursue nursing, you could go to a different school for it. I'm not sure exactly if the 10% deal would work for say, UTHSC or UTSWMC. I dunno what kind of programs/standards those have, just throwing out some medical-type schools.
