I was thinking about buying 64 bit windows 7, also msi is really stupid about dates with things, I could have gotten the upgrade for $20

w7's awesome, i've got 32bit w7 rc beta installed on a shtty computer & it runs fine. got 64bit rc beta on a quad core with 8gb ram.

Question: Is Windows 7 less of a resource hog than Vista or are they practically the same?

the required specs are much lower than vista, pretty much the same as xp. but somehow the shitty computer that i have w7 loaded on, it seems to run faster on w7 rather than xp. :/

i disagree

that only applies if your not smart enough to research it first or don't know where to look.


I'm using Windows 7 RTM using a legit key(no crack) and its virus free and fast.

the above statement only applies if you blindly go and download stuff from an untrusted source such as limewire or emule, or dodgy bit torrent sites.

i should also warn you guys that talking about piracy is against the rules and to try and avoid making me warn you

inregards to xp vs 7

yes windows 7 is indeed faster and the requirements to run are comparable to XP/2003.
