Yeah ive done it, god i forgot the breed of my EX-dog

i got another dog to play with him (small black cocker) and my older dog acted like his father literally lol it was quite touching

You should get another one makes em happier they got someone else to play with

oh and make sure its the same breed i was lucky my EX-dog didnt kill him :l

Yep thats what I said. I had all pitbulls once then threw a lab into the mix....wasn't pretty. So now I just go with labs.

Eh as i said my EX-dog barny acted like my black cockers father and barny was bigger so i was afraid if they played my black cocker JACK would get hurt

Really, different breeds fight?

The one I'm looking at is a black blue-tick hound and my current puppy is a German Shepard ish dog. Lol.

IDK, I think they will be fine, and play good.

Trouble is...I have to convince my mom that we "found" him

My puppy was pretty lonly when we got him, so we brought in another dog, but as you want an "older' dog. The new dog was older and my puppy kind of looked up to him. But the eldest ofc didn't really care and just hung around xD

Make sure you study what breeds like what breeds :]

Ew. Too much cat love in this thread.

It really depends on the dog, some like others some don't.... your current doggie looks like she really wants a dog to play with but who knows whether the next dog you would purchase would just ignore her.

We've done the same thing(my girlfriend and I) And it was fine after a week or so. They feel wierd at first, but then it gets to be one is the parent figure or whatever.
