So I'm considering getting another dog. My last puppy I got (Elly) seems to be pretty bored on her own. I feel really bad, because my grandmothers dogs are really small, and she can't play with them
![]() Shes still young (8 months or so) and likes to sniff and really tries to play with other dogs every where we go. Anyone here ever had a dog for a while, and then gotten another? I'm worried she will feel upset that we got another dog. Also, does anyone have experience bringing in an older dog from another family? One of the dogs I am looking at is going on 2 years old. I am REALLY worried that this dog will miss its old family really bad. People with multiple dogs...anything specific I should know? I'm really wishy-washy about this. I really want to get it for her, and just to have another dog around. There is plenty of love and food available in the house, and thats what matters...right? |

She kind of will be upset when she needs to share food etc. although she'll be happy she has someone to play with.
As for the older dog, the dog might try to run away. Mine keeps running away, but we just think it's because we have a small garden. He just walks around till he comes back on his own or someone finds him. :/ Just give them both attention (which can be quite hard at times) and you shouldn't have anything really to worry about.

She tries so hard to play with my kitties (I have 2). She brings them her toys and does the doggy "play bow" thing to them all the time. She wants to play with them so bad, I just feel terrible because they hiss and spit at her and try to scratch her eyes out lol.
Shes not mean to them, shes just a little too aggressive - she doesn't realize shes significantly bigger than them xD |
