Default quick question about ruroni kenshin

Is the English dub heavily edited? Because I swore that I used to watch it on adult swim, though I'm hearing that it was shown on toonami which brings me to believe its edited to hell like Naruto.

Normally I'd rather english subs but the voices sound really weird in Japanese. :/

I agree. Before I liked watching anime in japanese, I watched Rurouni Kenshin in english simply because kenshin didn't sound so girly in english. But if you've been watching anime in japanese for a while, you'll find the english a bit weird. otherwise it's perfectly fine. although there are some puns and how kenshin calls Kaoru with suffix such as -chan or -dono (forget what he exactly says) with minor significance that isn't apparent in the English.

I dont recall any of the storyline being editted for dubbed reasons.

Don't worry. from what i remember, its not the gay *** dubs you would hear in Naruto or Bleach. Overall the comedy elements are still there in english while maintaining its seriousness.

Oh and the version i watched is DVD. so I'm not sure if future dubs could have heavily editted it.

I preferred the English dubs over the Japanese ones.

Well it showed one the bad guy characters drinking snake blood and said he preffered the blood of a women on the english dub version. But yea the one on cartoon network was edited some. Like them not showing the head roll out from under the house.Great anime but they ruined after a great fight that the anime should have ended at.
