Dude, since when did "Black Power!" come before "White Power!" LOL It might have but i'm just saying how do you know that whites just "stole" the saying. Ah well, doesn't matter anyways. Whatever makes you feeel better.

Ah well there ya go. It did, but that's completely irrelevant. I just wanted to know why. Either way you say it is racist.

Wow, Wikipedia is whack.

But, seriously that's the problem these days. Too many people worrying about that crap. Should just live your life as you are, shouldn't feel like you are owed something or have to be just like another person.

White Power as an ideology is associated with a racist faction of the skinhead subculture that developed in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s.

Black Power is a political slogan which describes the aspiration of those ascribing to varying degrees of black nationalism to acquire full ethnic self-determination of black people. In particular, this regards African-Americans. More generally, the term describes a conscious choice for blacks to nurture and promote their own models of value rather than look for other races to validate them. It calls for blacks to identify their historical struggle and work to help themselves. The first person to use the term Black Power in its political context was Robert F. Williams, a writer and publisher of the 1950s and 60s. Mukasa Dada won the support of thousands of working class Africans when he chanted "Black Power"

Thats when...and i got my info from www.wikipedia.org. Even though the info is right there, I know your still going to want to argue Arucard. So i dont know why i bother.

hmm that doesnt look like equality to me.

Lol sorry I shouldn't bother either bad topic to get into. I'm just pretty curious because I'm getting a little tired of it.

The ideal of Affirmative Action has nothing to do with the ideal of "Black Power". Black Power supports the idea of black people helping themselves and overcoming the struggles of the past, whereas affirmative action is asking for a change in the governement to give minorities the oppurtunies once exclusively held by white people in America.

I don't believe in affirmative action either, but don't compare it with Black Power. They aren't the same idea.

Lol Since when did I say it was the same idea. Of course affirmative action wasn't passed by those representing Black Power but I used that link for my representation of *** kissing since it reminded me of the wikipedia page for Black Power. I was relating it directly in the post to the supposed wanting of equality but you've never heard any complaints about it. I also brought it up for the comment I made about .. shouldn't feel like you are owed something ... No one will accomplish anything in life with that attitude. And in one case, equality was their supposed goal during that time and i'm just pointing out now, hey, look, affirmative action doesnt look like equality to me.

Once again, sorry for bringing up such a topic.
