My laptop sucks too much to even play World of Warcraft respectably. So 99% of the 3D MMORPG's are out of the picture.
DFO was my most recent obsession but I've come to feel that the game lacks a sense of achievement (this applies to the other versions as well). I want a game that's casual enough where I can jump on at random points throughout a week and enjoy myself, but still be able to work towards something that makes me feel like I accomplished something at the end of the game. This is why I suggested something like player housing. I remember Ultima Online where things like buying your own boat and house were real objectives to work towards, not like the piddly little quests you desperately want to complete in games nowadays. You ask, "why don't you just play Ultima Online?", well, I'm thinking about it, but being on a laptop it's completely mouse-driven gameplay doesn't bode well with a touchpad and I don't like carrying a mouse around with me everywhere I take my laptop. Can you guys think of any other MMORPG's that would: a) Offer a similar sense of accomplishment as Ultima Online at the end. b) Run on my crappy laptop with an integrated graphics card lol. c) Has a decent/decently sized community. I appreciate any help.

Wurm, Newage 3, and Artifact have housing...
Can you be more specific? Are you talking about player-housing, or house-construction (Runescape), or just a house-feature like every single PBBG out there? Oh. Nevermind. Don't play any of these. Runescape has a large community. |
