Bah not sure what motherboard I have anymore, have had it for a long time though. It's pretty low quality haha.

So you suggest a motherboard + CPU upgrade.. any suggestions? I think my video card is fine, it can handle the load fairly well. I just think it's the processor that's giving out early ): Though i'll definitely bump up the gpu later (;

You need new RAM too, but if your RAM is DDR1, it's probably cover the price for the new RAM if you sell it.

Both will need a new fan, since the stock fans are too weak for the CPUs, and are likely to overheat that way.

Mostly looking to upgrade because WAR still runs slow for me, and that makes me very sad haha. Want to be able to record while playing.
wait what?, WAR runs smooth silk on my rig with everything maxed out, and I have much less specs than you, heck I have an HD3850 compared to your 9800GTX , most probably whatever upgrade you do, if WAR doesn't run smooth silk RIGHT NOW with those specs, chances are it will be the same with anything else unless you find the source of the problem, which imho, likely seems to on the software side (drivers perhaps), I heard some notices that WAR doesn't like Nvidia cards that much

there's not a problem with your rig at all, heck, it's perfectly fine for playing any new games coming out on max with no problems whatsoever, unless you are a huge graphics "whor..." I mean fan
