I dunno if it's new news or not, but when I logged on today, (Nov. 2nd) a patch was released that fixed Lilith's phasewalking. Hurray!

what did everyone think of the ending?? apparently though its not mentioned in the game, in the official guide it says this, stating there was never anything apart from the destroyer in the vault.

According to the guide, the Angel can see forward and backward in time. It knows that the Vault would be opened and that the Destroyer released. Remember, Tannis already knew when to open the Vault, whether you were there or not. She didn't have the key parts, but considering how hard Commander Steele was looking, it was bound to happen. So anyway, all the other companies bailed out cuz there are no resources on Pandora. Atlas stayed cuz they figured out the Vault. Remember in-game Tannis says that Dahl stopped sponsoring her research and left, but she was still getting her resources from "somewhere" and no one knows where. It was from Atlas.

So the guide says that the Eridians sacrificed their entire civilization to contain the Destroyer in the Vault. Only the Guardians stayed behind. The Vault was created to store the Destoyer and keep it locked away so it couldn't end the universe. That's it. That's all.

I don't know why people don't like the ending. Would it have been better to have the vault actually hold alien, godlike weapons? I don't think running around with a 9,999,999 damage alien weapon would be much fun. Maybe thats just me, also, this ending opens up the game for a sequel. In 200 years, will the destroyer be back or is it gone for good since you destroyed his corporeal form? If it is gone for good, what is in the vault? An alternate dimension that held the destroyer which you can now explore? Sounds fun to me.

i dunno what to make of the ending myself i just thought the boss battle was very lack luster didn't even get any loot from it though i did have some really good weapons/mods

It wasn't the end that pissed me off, it's that there was no challenge whatsoever. I mean, getting to the Vault was harder than the actual boss fight, which really says something seeing as how getting to the Vault wasn't that hard in the first place.
And the reason I was so disappointed in the end was because I was ready to explore the Vault, but instead they throw this giant monstrosity at me that takes not even 2 minutes to kill? That's like a ***** slap to the face.

Nonetheless, I do still like the game. Currently halfway through my second playthrough with Roland and about 3 quarters of the way through with Brick. Thinking of making a Lilith character next.
