Default Hallowed Queen (Horror RP)

"What has happened?

Once, our kingdom was a blessing from heaven. The streets were clean, the people were kind of heart, and the castle stood beautifully against the blue sky, ivory, gold, and silver seemingly painted there by the finest artist. In those days, the castle was the crown, and it's gem was the church. crystal symbols of The Deity stood amazingly beside the church. Inside, stained glass and gem chandlers colored the place of worship like an aurora, filling the mind with peace. and our queen, our beautiful queen, walked the streets freely, with us, smiling and laughing. She was a fair ruler, and we were prosperous.

But things change, in time. The queen stopped coming to the open markets. It was believed that she fell ill. We would go to mourn and pray for her health at the church grounds. The world seemed bleak as the summer left us and the trees died. Even the church seemed ominous. But we went on with out lives. It didn't strike us as more than a bad atmosphere from worry of our beloved queen. But that, too, changed. People disappeared, some say they saw them being taken into the alleys by something they couldn't see. Others just never came out. Than, people slowly stopped attending church. It stopped feeling the way it used to. The feelings of peace turned into ones of dread. The angels inside and out of the church began to look like demons. Soon, even the priests abandoned it, out of fear, and instead came to our homes for prayer.

And then, they came. Demons, monsters, they were few, but they roamed the streets, killing all those they saw. Out numbers quickly decreased as the demons ravened our lives. This was not supposed to happen. Had The Deity forsaken us? Some left the city, seeking refuge in another kingdom, others simply vanished, and what's left of us struggle to survive."

I believe it's time for another horror RP. This one takes place in Gothic times, so no advanced weaponry. There are guns, but they're the old muzzle loaders, and they're not as accurate as a bow. I'll wait for a few people to apply, and hopefully, we can keep this going well past Halloween!

As for demons, it's really your imagination. But, if you make one up, you have to explain it well enough for everyone to get the picture. If it's just a brief, can't describe it look, than you can leave it at that, but if you get a good look, you have to let us know how evil this bastard looks.

No demon or angel blood in you. No cursed people. No demon pets. Demons, monsters, ghosts and ghouls, can all be in the story, but not you.

There are no specific classes, but if you're a priest, you have the ability to bless areas and keep the party safe.

Demons and monsters must have a weakness and a ward. Crazy people have no ward, other than what usually wards of a... crazy... person...

Have fun, be scary, and I love you all. I'll add in another journal entry when you're all set in. No character sheet, just put in an explanation of yourself story-form when you join in.

He painted his face red with the blood of the man he just killed, well kill is too intelligent a word, he more or less randomly flailed his limbs until the man died. Onto the story, Dribble ,The guy painting his face, is one of the few madmen who think that wearing a persons blood will make them well, um, I'll just say it makes them feel more attractive and leave it at that. Dribble got his name because he, well, always drooled. No one really know what his real hair color is under the layers of blood, but one thing they know for sure is his light green eyes almost illuminated by the dark, caked blood and mud. The few who get a good look at him and stay alive seem to estimate that he is 6'5". If you see this man run away and get help for he is a known killer, if captured pray that your eternal soul might find rest.

Yes he is a madman who gets off by bathing in blood, no I do not plan on focusing solely on this. I in fact plan having him be calmed a short way in, beware though he IS mad so expect a good deal of VERY unrational actions at anytime.

(DETH! It's nice to see you again! How've you been, man? =D)

"I went to Daru Street today. It seems the Shepherd's Shoppes have epicked up and moved. They do that a lot, traveling around the capital city, picking up, moving, and settling down where it's safe. They ward away the Dark Ones, but it seems that the concentration of human flesh, the beckoning of a meal, eventually gets the demons to break through the wards that pain them. Or perhaps the wards loose affect on them? I'll look into this, but first, I have to find the Shoppes. My journal is filling up, and my supplies are empty.

I saw the queen today... I think I saw the queen today. She was on her balcony, just looking down on the city. I think the guards might be keeping her safe in the castle, but I don't know how long that will last. Such news will cheer people up. I should spread the news... Perhaps brighten it up a bit.

I should go. I did not put up a fire, and I fear the shadows are becoming darker. I'm sure the demons will find me soon. I'll need a new hiding spot. Or maybe someone to talk to. It's so lonely, my work, it would be nice to have some company who's intentions were not to eat me in my sleep.

May the Deity's light bless you, reader.
~Roth Targon"

Closing his book, the scholar slit it into his bag and rose to his feet. He tightened everything to him, so they would not make noise. He approached the doorway of the abandoned house he was staying in, peeking his head outside and looking around. Nothing. He walked out and down the street, slowly and silently, crossbow against him and ready to fire. It had been about a week since the demons took the city. There weren't many, by count, of those large ones that walked the streets. But sometimes, Roth would see something in the corner of his eye, something moving and disappearing in the shadows. This worried him. The shadows seemed to follow you. His shadow seemed safe, but in the alleys, he felt like he was being watched, followed, hunted. Still, during the day, nothing happened.

At night, he usually didn't risk sleeping without a flame, but he'd run low on supplies. His tinder was gone, and it had been raining, so he couldn't get his own. He also needed ink and paper. When his book was full, he'd give it to one of the Librarians. Scholars like himself who scouted the city, recording change for the Shepherds. It wasn't glorious work, but it needed to be done, and Scouts like him got free meals and one ration of supplies during their stay. The only problem was finding the camp. Roth walked down the lonely street, hoping to bump into someone who knew the way.

((Been good man, I left for a bit because of school/depression but I'm back now and bringing back my signature style of odd roleplaying. Expect to see me only a bit more in Rp's that haven't started yet. I'm still keeping my standards though.))

Dribble followed the man as he walked down the street, he had been following him for a while because he hadn't bathed in blood for a bit too. This was when he was most dangerous though, if he wasn't cavered in blood warm or otherwise he would start thinking and some think that before he went insane he had been a genius because the last time he though.... a small town literally had made a river of blood and tears. He saw one of the larger demons heading towards the mans street and realized that if he didn't hide him he wouldn't get his blood. Dribble sprinted at full speed towards the man from one alley, hooked him and lifted him off his feet, then fell into a pill of rubbish with him in a parallel alley. "Stay quiet or it will hear you!" he hoarsely whispers.

((I notice you couldn't wait to join up with me :P))

(I always leave the end of my RPs open. I think I botched the title, because nobody's joining. xD)

Roth heard the footsteps before the stranger lifted and ran with him, over his head, no less. Roth was small, muscular build, retaining only mild amounts of muscle gained from stacks of books, and what little exercise he preformed to keep himself slightly attractive. He was slim, too, from skipping meals to read something, or, more recently, from rationing the already rationed rations. Still, he couldn't weigh less than a hundred pounds. How could such a man simply lift him?!

While deep in thought, as he usually was, he failed to notice he had been relocated into a week old garbage heap. What gave it away first was the horrible, dreadful smell. He'd come into contact with eviscerated corpses, many of them, piled in a ritualistic circle of sorts, and than shat on by demon poo, and this still smelled worse! If the mad hadn't ordered his silence, he's probably cry out in disgust. So, instead of complaining, which was something he did often, he simply examined the man, something else he did often... Examining things, not just men... NOT JUST MEN!

His hair was red. An odd color in these parts, but not unseen. Such hair was more often seen on traveling merchants. His face was caked with blood, and his eyes were sea green, more common, and he looked like he'd been out in the city a long time. Strangely, the thought that this man might have been one of the insane people who sprouted up before the demons never crossed Roth's mind. Instead, This man must be a seasoned warrior! echoed in. this is what he needs! Someone who can protect him while he records his findings! In his exitement, Roth failed to notice the Satyr stroll by.

((Taking a more.... light hearted writing style I see?))

Dribble had shifted slightly covering all of the man he could so that only his blood stained clothes could be seen. The demon soon passed but he made sure until he could only hear the scurrying of rats. He shifted his body off the man and into a half crouch half standing position so that he would still be hidden behind a crate of old cabbage. "Your lucky I found you or old goats would have eaten your blood." He said lightly making sure not to be overheard. He pulled off his shirt revealing his blood colored body. "Put this on that way if we get lost next time you hide you won't look out of place" he whispered as he handed the shirt to the man.

((While he is insane he still realizes that if there is one bathtub filler around there might be more.))

(( Yup. Shallow thoughts are usually lighthearted for me, and being tackles by some guy can really make thoughts shallow.))

Roth stood, taking a breath of fresher air, than decided to lead his new friend away from the stench. Looking back, he noticed something he hadn't before. More bodies, maggots and worms wiggling where the eyes once were, the outer flesh chewed away by bugs and rats. Roth shutterd, than turned to the new person. "Thank you for that. If I wern't so careless, you wouldn't have had to put me in the... uhm... Rubbish..." Roth took another examination of the man. He seemed to have little flesh wounds. The blood wasn't his. And his clothes weren't as bloody as his body. Who was he?

Roth took his shirt off and put on the stranger's. The blood stains made the linen feel more like stone. "Who are you. What are you doing out here?"
