does anyone use Ubuntu for there OS

what good about Ubuntu?

i thinking of putting Ubuntu on my laptop

I used Xubuntu, which is basically Ubuntu, but for lower end computers. All I have to say is that it was a headache to get Steam running and getting Nvidia drivers to get set up. I can't say anything else, since the hard drive I had it on burnt out the same day.

I put Ubuntu on my PS3.

I have it on a laptop and desktop. You'll never get viruses and everything is free. The interface is a little bit different from Windows but it isn't hard to get used to at all. Only downside is you can't play games without using WINE.

dont feel like buying new window disc and virus scanner program for it. my gamming computer is my desktop computer. just want to see if Ubuntu good for linux OS for outdate laptop

I don't think you should be using Ubuntu.

A Mac or a bootleg windows would be much better.

Ubuntu was designed for Advance Computer users.

i understand linux OS and i dont like Mac because there not opensource

I remember there being a simplified version of Ubuntu for newbs. Can't remember which version though.
