On the other hand, you might wanna revisit the pyramid if you are doing business studies.
You raise a good point with that, but it's really only a tiny fraction of people you can apply that to in what we're discussing. How many people do you think actually raise their social status and look good with a branded PC? People don't buy expensive computers unless they have a need for high performance, or they're ignorant and payed for something they will never use efficiently. In the geek and tech community already, such branded PCs are frowned upon and amongst people who do not know anything, they wouldn't know any better either. Do you really think non-geeks will buy ridiculously expensive PCs and brag about them to their non-geek friends? Not unless they have too much money to burn, I highly doubt that.

Strangely enough, I don't really care what others say, I started saving up as soon as i heard alienware is coming to local shores, which is gonna be my next PC. geek and tech community... I don't really mess around with them, who are they to sneer if i tell them i have an alienware desktop ? I've had a HP desktop, an Asus gaming laptop, currently a self customized desktop, so why not try to have an alienware ? Have been seeing its ads all over in gaming mags, its a few hundred bucks more expensive, its something i can live with. Maybe because I am financially secured via stock trading, I don't really give a damn as long as I'm happy about it. Self actualization ? Probably. I will give anything new a shot.
