It looks to be a vanity pet, so I'd imagine it doesn't do much except look pretty.

Although if it is a Beast and can be used as a Pet by Hunters, it may be along the lines of the Spirit Beasts (going by the glowing eyes). It looks to be a standard cat model skinned with the Emerald Skytalon texture. The Skytalons are the owls in the Emerald Dragonshrine in Dragonblight.

The link above appears to be broken, so all of the above is just conjecture on my part.
