Oh man this reminds me of that commercial about finallyfast.com

The truth is that you don't really need to format you computer that often as long as you keep it clean while you are running it. Using spam/malware removers every week is a good start, and running a system scan for viruses once every 2 weeks is also recommended.

There are many cleaners out there that can help you clean your registry as well as temporary files and trash. CCleaner is one of my favorites. I also trust Registry Mechanic as well. Always help to take out the trash.

My computer is fast! Finally! Finallyfast.com!

Man, poor acting.

Anyway, most of the time registries fix themselves, unless you got poor programs.

Its mostly viruses or malware that kills your computer.

Defragging your hard drives is also a very quick fix to slow computers, especially if you spend a lot of time browsing the web or playing games. Usually I defrag, run registry cleaner, malware/spyware destoryers once a month or so, then do a reformat every few months.
