Shit, this is NOT good.

A very confused, a very annoyed, and a very wounded prince sprinted through the forest. Rapier in hand, the billowing smoke and sky-licking flames flowing behind him from the siege of his once-ruled city. A scar was dashed across his eye, and it was bleeding. He was pretty sure he was now blinded in that eye, the pain was throbbing - and it was weakening his footsteps. He turned around, narrowly dodging an arrow.

"Kayain! Vial'nikan!" Shouted one of the assassins, they were not demons, nor angels - but they were a race from across the seas - their language just happened to be very archaic.

The prince thought they fought like both, however.

He spun on his heel, one of the black-garbed assassins flying from the shadows of a nearby tree - snaking out with his rapier - he managed to deflect the blow with it. Quickly flicking his flintlock pistol from his belt - he fired the weapon. The gunpowder clouded his vision - or what he had left of it, and he coughed.

He felt his world swimming, and toppled backwards, everything went black.

Where am I...? He asked himself, he opened his eyes. Coming slowly to his scenses, there was a bandage around his right eye, he had noticed. It was throbbing with pain, he groaned. Moving a hand shakily up to it, he was in a candle-light lit cavern. He peered to one of the windows - moonlight was shining through it.

A girl, around 19 years old, sat by his bed. She blinked as he came awake, and squealed with glee. "Oh, thank the gods! I thought you would never wake up!" She exclaimed.

"Where..." He murmered, his head hurt.

"Stay here, i'll get you some food!" She said, hopping out of the room.

He peered around, he was lying in a bed - that's what he knew, anyway. He sighed exasperateley, shaking his head. Come on, man. Focus..

The girl prepared his food, Kyriah stake, along with steamed vedgetables and a healthy dealing of Nirra juice. She smiled, admiring her work - carrying it carefully upstairs, she moved into the room.

The bed was empty, and the window was wide open.

(( Welcome to Greygate! I plan for this to be an exstensive fantasy RP set in a mystical world called "Nuaar.", the extent of weapons are blades and muskets, and there are powerfull forces of magic at play that people have leartn to harness, aswell. There are four races:

Kaijan, A proud, lion-like race. They tend to be a good few feet taller than most humans, and live in the "Great forest" far to the east. Allthough their way of life is simple, they are by no means behind, technology wise. They tend to appear like humans, apart from the lion-like tail and ears. Most tend to be much more muscular, too.

They are natural warriors, and never back down from a fight. They tend to be fighters, but there are the odd mage Kaijans, too.

Lifespan: They die of old age at around 390-410 years.

Humans - Self explanatory, appearance wise. These are the most common of all the races, allthough the other races are by no means small, numbers-wise. They tend to be a mixed bag of personalities, and are the most versatile. They are scattered through various settlements and cities throughout the world.

Lifespan: They die of old age at around 80-90 years (Allthough for the more wealthy and well-treated, 110 years is possible. )

Earthborn. They take the appearance of humans, allthough completeley composed of rock. They seem to be bound by some arcanic energy - and their eyes glow eerily. Their personality seems to be old and world-weary, and they are rumoured to've been around since the creation of Nuaar.

Mages of this race are extremeley common, but some go down the path of warriors aswell, due to their natural earth-like strength.

Lifespan: Immortal, but can still die from physical damage. They are suspectable to binding-like magic, and can be hurt easily if the flow of magic through them is disrupted.

Northlanders. As the name suggests, the Northlanders dwell in the north - the snowy mountain-tops of Mur'agh, they tend to be hearty and happy. And their manner is warming. There are no mages amongst their kind, but they make up for this with their massive physical strength. They look like humans, but their skin is covered in a snowy white fur, much like that of a polar bear. They tend to be a few feet smaller than humans, (Around 3-5 feet on average.), but don't let this fool you. A northlander can easily tear boulders from the earth, smash through rock with their bear fists, and are masters of construction. However, most tend to be rather... Stupid at times, oh - they're not nearly as dumb as some of the species, but they're headstrong and they don't think before they act more often than not.

I'll explain the setting in which we start once... We start, really. We are on the continent of Klair, a large one at that, to the east is the "Great Forest." To the north is where the north-landers dwell, the humans are seperated, scattered throughout villages, settlements and a few cities - The major ones being Valstram(Recently destroyed in an invasion by a mysterious enemy.), Larian and Qal. The Earthborn tend to settle in the "Edge", a myserious, barren, earth-like and misty place which no-one really knows about, apart from the Earthborn themselves. ))

Name: Kilav Mastral the Second, (ex)Prince of Valstram.
Gender: Male.
Age: Looks around 18, is infact 20.
Backstory: Yustra lead a happy life - full of peace and prosperity (Allbeit a lonely one, he never had many friends and was rather isolated.), that is untily those... Men came. They struck suddenly, tearing the city asunder, no-one knew who they were, no-one knew what they wanted, but none were spared. And the young prince was forced to flee to the slum-like city of Qal.
Personality: Tends to be light-hearted, warm. Unlike what people would expect of a prince, he's rather humble - and protective (Sometimes overly so) of his friends. He is allso witty and loud-mouthed, unafraid to express his opinion on matters.
Race: Human.
Appearance:

He is a striking figure, full of youth - he would be quite handsome, would it not be for the scar jarring his right eye on which he wears a eyepatch over. He tends to wear a loose, silk shirt in an odd beige colour. The collar on this is high, and would speak royalty if it wasn't torn. He allso wears a over-jacket made from tough leather on top of it. It's sleeveless, but protects most of his vital organs whilst providing manuverbility. He allso wears some padded leggings, made out of the same brown leather his chest armour is, it's held together by a belt. In addition, he ears long boots that allmost reach to his knees. His hair is blonde, and there is a slight amount of stubble on his chin.

He stands at around 6 foot, and seems an evenly toned figure. He is not muscular, but he is at the begginings of it, he seems very athletic, too. And he moves with great grace.

Class: Quickblade - He uses a small flintlock pistol that he can fall back on, and brandishes a rapier at his side. He is good with quick, light blades such as shortswords and daggers. He uses his athletics to his advantage, and strikes vital points with ease and grace. Though he carries not much body armour, and relies on his speed and witty remarks to see him through.

Weapons: A long, silver rapier tied at his side, it is made of silver and seems to sheen in the sunlight. Intracate carvings cover the hilt, and the edge is razor-sharp. His flintlock pistol is allso well-made, similar carvings cover the side of it, and it is carved of high-quality oak.

2. Feel free to be violent, but don't go over-the-top.
3. Romance is allowed, the odd innuendo here and there. But please, DON'T swamp us with details of how you "Throb your +9 shaft of penatration into her cavern of wonders(with +3 to elacsticity.)", if two characters ARE about to get down and dirty, cut it off right there and have a transition of sorts until after the sex, allright? We REALLY don't want to see it.
4. Swearing is allowed.
5. PLEASE try to be descriptive, I.E: Instead of saying, "Example guy looks to Example Girl and shakes his head." for one post, say somthing like: "Example guy shoots Example girl a sidelong glance. His eyes firm and hard, a grim expression on his face. His breathing is slow and ragged, and he shakes his head. His manner full of dread."
6. Keep posts to a paragraph MINIMUM.

Name: Felicity

Gender: Female

Age: Looks to be about 20. Actual age unknown.

Backstory: Doesn't reveal where she came from but will say she predates a lot of kingdoms. Felicity likes to travel and, as such, has been witness to many key events around the world. Sometimes found with companions who travel with her. Liked to stay amongst humans, claiming they were 'amazing creatures'. Since the sacking of Kilav's city, however, she tries to avoid them. As such, has hardly been seen with friends for years.

Personality: Primarily bonded to water so her attitude reflects that. A constant wanderer, cannot stay in one place too long without becoming restless. Likes company despite her claims to the contrary. Open and friendly but if angered gets cold and merciless. Her wrath is like a waterfall bearing down on you. Tries to stay unnoticed by people, will use magic to aid this. Very charming and persuasive.

Race: Earthborn-The same hue as river mud, this has dulled over time to make her look more or less human.
Appearance:
With ever so slightly blue tinged skin. Eerily beautiful cat-like eyes
Moves with grace, staff changes colour depending what style of magic she uses.

Class: Mage. Can attack from any range. Very agile and flexible, prefers to wear enemies down before the killing blow. Will fight melee-style or from far range.

Weapons/Skills: Staff can be used as a close range weapon or far range, virtually unbreakable. Partial elemental control-Relies on concentration, prefers water.

(( No, they're not a race of their own - but most mages tend to be from the "higher ups.", as - say, a slum-dweller wouldn't have the resources to learn magic unless they had a natural affinity for it.

Though Mages do tend to live a good few years more than the race they're part of, the magic giving them more longevity.

Sorry if I forgot to elaborate on that. ^_^ ))

(( Humans - about 150, i'd say. - Even then they would be rather old-seeming, unless they cast an illusion spell to make them look young, or somthing.

Kaij - About 550.

Earthborn are immortal, and northdwellers don't practition magic atall seeing as their race has no natural talent for it whatsoever.

Sorry to crash on your character concept. :P If you still want to be immortal, you could allways be a Earthborn.))
