Yeah 40 continuous hours doesn't seem that impressive for anything. Especially video games, where you just sit there. The human body certainly can take more punishment than that.

I forget those things usually when I play. And he had 4 10 minuts breaks.

people whos saying this isn't shit is apparently really stupid. come on now, SITTING FOR 40 HOURS. playing GTA. uh gta gets boring after the first 2 hours. and not to mention it's different from playing a MMO you genius. a mmo is obviously easy to stay up on because its MULTIPLAYER, meaning you play with OTHER PEOPLE who could keep you awake. GTA is just singleplayer. i doubt he was playing on xbox live so don't mention "oh well he could have been playing online." no. and do you think anyone here is impressed that you played for 80 hours? i'm not.

but before i even read all the comments my thought was this "world records are so stupid these days. you can get a world record for anything."

There are people who have world records for sitting still, or sitting on a flagpole, or juggling, or balancing a plate on a stick. I can guarantee you that playing GTA, even for 40 hours, would be 100x more interesting than some of the shit that people set records for.
