Windows 7 questions [Not for the hardware section >_>]
Hey guys!
So.... Windows 7 got released over here and I was wondering about a few things before buying it. Is it really faster than Vista? Is it faster than XP? What makes it better than XP/Vista? There is a Home Premium, a H.P N, a professional and an extreme version. I practically just want to do homework and play games on this computer. Which one should I buy? What are the cons? Thanks in advance! PS: Answer these questions by using your own experience with Windows 7. I don't need links to tech-sites or anything like that. *Yawns* Good morning btw ^^ ~Moa

It is totally faster than Vista. I notice significantly better results with Win7.
I wouldn't say faster than XP. Unfortunately, I have a new laptop with drivers that are incompatible with XP...so I was stuck with Vista. The move to Win7 has been great for me lols. It eats up a lot less stuff than Vista did. It also allows for better customization (what you want to allow windows to install > example - IE.) IDK about the versions. Cons? Well...anything Windows releases usually isn't good until there is a service pack or two. Theres usually a few huge bugs someone got high and forgot about...but, I don't really mind. Go for it if you want...but I'd trade it for XP any day.

I wouldn't get it yet.
It may be faster then Vista, but the compability is still pretty low, seeing as it is brand new. If you play a lot of games stick to whatever you have and wait.
