Some may be slower then the rest and some may excel the average human at that age, but they still can function normally in the normal world, hence the reaction I wrote in the OP.

How were you diagnosed with autism?

I guess people just see the extreme forms not the mild ones =\

Well. Most people are sure I'm way younger than I am. Its gets kind of old after the first year or so. xD

When I first started college, people thought I was someone's daughter just visiting for a minute. ._.

its a gift in disguise. don't worry, when these people are all 40 and old looking you'll look like your still in your 20's and it'll be awesome. I have the same issue.

When people first meet me they think i'm loud and obnoxious.. because i am. then they realize i'm mean and hilarious.

People never believe me when I tell them my ethnicity, and I can usually fake some other ones. (I'm half tamil, half guyanese)

Anywho, today, I met this chinese rapper at my school. (He has awesome music in chinese apparently, and for an esl guy, his english songs are pretty decent.)
So yeah, my friend introduced me to him today. I told him how much I loved his newest song. (Side note: In his song, he refers to someone as CBC)
So then I asked him who this CBC girl was, but he didn't tell me. I then told him that I was CBC and he laughed at me and told me that I wasn't chinese.
Then I told him that my mom was born in china, and he believed me. I started speaking his language (canto) to him, and he was amazed.
This is the third guy who I got to believe I am chinese in two days!

TL;DR. I can fake a chinese person.

As someone of widely mixed decent, I constantly have people scrutinizing my face and trying to figure out where I'm from. I actually think it's pretty funny. If they ever do manage to guess something right, the answer, "keep going," always throws them off.

I ran into some trouble at school and they sent me to the school councilor. After quite a while they diagnosed me with autism.
