Would upgrading to another CD will fix that problem? Im planning on getting windows 7 i heard that it can reformat the windows vista to. Right now im log in to safe mode network vista.

Explain further please? If you mean it just goes black for a while, then the screen says "Logging In" or go to the desktop, then I have that normally.

No its not on desktop its starting log screen. When i start up vista after that green bar the log in password the whole screen goes black i cant log in.

Can you access your account's profile settings? If you can, why don't you just turn off your password? Unless you live in a dorm/apartment or sharing a computer, I don't see why you need a password.

I made the password log in what im talking about is when ever i restart on vista on normal start up the screen goes black the vista logo or pic is suppose to show up and a log in screen. But nothing shows up all i can see is black screen and mouse right now im on safe mode network. Needed help how i can fix this .

could just be your computer starting up so it's lagging happens to me sometimes
