Its always been pay to win.. but at least back in 1.0 you needed good anticipation and reflexes as well as gear. then they came and rolled BP onto every game and made tons of money from no-lifers.

Outdated lol..? Conquer online is still is one of the top games for gameplay..

Conquer Online is by far my FAVORITE game, but with the intergration of all the newer things it became retarded, I hated it so much. Sure, they were pretty good at getting you to your first promotion easily, but now, the only way to advance further was to spend money.

I suggest you wait for CO 1.0, OP, then play.

I hate f2p games. I mean really really hate them. But Conqure online is pretty good. Its not really pay to win. Its pay to win very easily. But without paying the next best way to win is to play with a group of good friends.

I myself will never go back to the official servers *cough cough* but I'm pretty sure I'll find myself playing this game again.

Conquer's community has a lot PKers, but they have a nice side to them since the game encourages power leveling. Its better for them to keep newbies alive and power level them than to just kill them.

I think all the old and "out dated" games are better than the newer ones because the communities aren't filled with too many "post-world of warcraft" players. If WoW is someone's first mmo and they feel that its better than most other mmos, then they are a different type of mmo player that tend to make for bad communities because of their mind set.

EDIT: what u guys mean by CO. 1.0? its 2.0 now..... and OP i cant believe you actually say its not pay to win..... have you seen the cash shop in pretty much any TQ game? u can pretty much but anything.. gear,upgrade materials( dbs, mets etc), and the most game breaking of them all. sockets. and i believe u can still buy Exp... talk about sad..

CO 1.0 is being re-released as far as I know. On the CO BBS, there is a whole section dedicated to it.
