Default No Sound from Right Speaker

So at first I thought I had broken my headset because there was no sound coming out of the right side. But now I noticed that I am not getting sound from the right side of any device I have plugged in, such as my speakers or my regular headphones.

What's the problem here?

It randomly started happening last week, and now even after I reformatted and put Windows 7 on it, it is still happening.

Also the sound will randomly go in and out of the right side sometimes.

Some questions will have to be answered before we can solve your perplexing sound issue.

1. Laptop or PC?
2. Is the audio coming from the mobo or a separate sound card?
3. Check to see if you can find other different drivers that might fix the problem if the sound card isn't broken.

sometimes the plug in place (idk what its called ><) is broken or maybe drivers missing?

unless all of your sound devices happen to have a wire that was ripped but thats not likely

have you tried to scan your computer? if i remember correctly there are times where viruses can mess around. Also check your sound card if its broken or you need to update drivers and the like or the drivers just aren't loading properly

It could be either the speakers and headset are going bad(coincidentally) or you onboard(assuming) sound card is going bad. I had a similar problem, but with static only from one speaker instead. Also, it could be from the audio port going bad, did you try plugging it into a different port?
