If you get the heavy gunner class mod you can burst fire 3 shots and it is basically an own all kill all till about lvl 25 really.

After finishing PT2, hitting 50 and doing way too many chest runs about a week ago, the game has been sitting on my shelf. :\

I'm actually still using a lv22 sniper rifle I found in New Haven on the first play through at lv40 on the second play through; I've found rifles on the 2nd play through that do much more damage but without the elemental effect this one has. It still destroys everything so not all 1st play through weapons are crap. I just need to find this exact rifle again in New Haven on the 2nd play through

walk backwards and strafe, A LOT
also, use a corrosive gun, it'll speed it up an awful lot.
