So I'm trying to make a Tales series AMV, and I downloaded a bunch of anime cutscenes in both MP4 and AVI formats, but when I try to import the AVI videos into Windows Movie Maker it says I don't have the proper codec to import them, but I can import AVI files recorded through Fraps perfectly. Is there any way to fix this?
And also, does anyone know where I can find an MP4 to AVI file converter? |

Don't try to make an AMV with Windows Movie Maker.
But when it comes to converting videos I usually use SUPER. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Get Vegas, Premiere or Avid.
In the mean time, I'd recommend SUPER video converter. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html It's free and works just fine. ^^DAMN YOU! You beat me to the punch! haha

if you use windows movie maker (which sucks and is so unbelievably unstable) people will just laugh at you and your crummy movie making skills.
download something else like everyone else has suggested. wmm is so limited in terms of features and very amateurish, if i was you id just forget about using it. there are plenty of tutorials around that you can watch if you arent much of a budding director. ps: dont use a nightwish or linkin park song for your amv or you might break the internet. serious.
