Ok prefer PS2 right now but PC as well will work.
Waiting on some stuff to come out and bored right now. Looking for something similar (ish) to the Persona games, or Shadow of Destiny (Persona was more fun for me, have played them all so far). Basically something where what you "do" affects the outcomes of different things, endings, whatever.... (if you've played them you will know what I mean). Good storyline is a must. Or something similar to Radiata but maybe a bit "better" (loved the general idea but was a bit on the "I can only play this a little and get bored" side). I have (or have played) way too many games to list, but also loved the FF games (of course), the Mana series, Star Ocean series. Silent Hill and Resident Evil type games were also good. Considering Onimusha games right now, 4 looks like it may be kind of what I want in ways. Anyone played it? Basically just need more ideas: RPG PS2 (prefered) or PC Interaction is huge bonus (like in the Persona games) Needs a good storyline to progress through (If only I could combine FF, Persona, Star Ocean, Silent Hill and the SIMS into one game.... LOL) |

for PC check out the Fallout series. the most recent one is Fallout 3, plays like Oblivion tho. the first two are turn-based strategy RPGs. whats fun is you can be good and help people, or plant grenades in their pockets, heck even blow up a town. these all have an effect on how people interact with you, what quests and companions you can take with you, and of course the ending.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne? The ending is entirely affected by your actions in the game.
But in terms of character interactions and story, I'd suggest Tales Of Legendia.

More or less forgot about this while I worked on my book... oops
Nocturne is one I have on order, I swear I have played it but somehow can not remember it so going to get it again. Morrowind I did not care for really. Fable I do play but not as much after playing it through on xbox/360 (played both 1 and 2). It was a really great game just get bored going through some parts now. Star Ocean series is one of my favorites, but sadly I have played all of them through a few times lol. ToL I have but don't play much now either. Still have not managed to get a copy of Shadow Hearts, bad part about only buying used is not always in the stores near me (which is crazy when there are like 8 GameStop stores within 15 min drive!). But still am planning to get it. Will check out Fallout, soon as I post this. Ok well... wow PC version $50 and as I do not have a 360 or ps3 right now... anyone know if there is a free trial of this anywhere? Still kind of looking, will be another 4 months I think before the ones I was waiting for are out. Last edited by kitysedai; 11-15-2009 at 06:49 PM. Reason: fallout question |

About Shadow Hearts, Covenant is the 2nd game in the series, I've never played the first one but you don't really have to (though Covenant is pretty much a direct sequel). "Shadow Hearts: From The New World" (SH3) was nowhere near as good as SH2 though.
