I wish I could help you.. the game videos made it seem real fun, but the gfx are virtually not good at all(Not bashing the game). The combat is also real slow, but besides that(And if you are into brawler/arcadey type games) it will be fun for you. The onRPG hype for Warrior Epic went down fast

Warrior Epic is one of the worst online titles ever. ;/ There's no arguing with that. What boggles my mind is the question of what the hell were the devs were thinking releasing that early PSX era garbage to the poor and unsuspecting MMO public. Also, I wonder if that guy who was promoting it like crazy on all the MMO sites killed himself. ;o I know I would have if I was endorsing that sh*t.

To be fair, the hype mainly died down that quickly because the game was an utterly unbalanced, buggy mess at launch. I'm not sure if it's any better now or if they've just created new bugs to replace the old ones though, but the initial experience pretty much killed any desire I might have had to play the game (I actually thought the base game itself was pretty fun, but with unbalanced skills/classes, buggy stages that couldn't be completed, an exp curve in which a low level stage gave far more exp than most/all stages after it, and other game-breaking bugs it was a wreck) .

Well, as I said, the game might have improved by now. However, to give soem specific examples of how awful it was, at times skills simply wouldn't work: you press the skill button, it starts making the casting animation, but nothing happens and since kiting was fairly important in the game for ranged classes, it lead to getting hit simply because your stun/slow would not work. In addition, the assassin-type class had a very low-tier firetrap skill that dealt large amounts of DoT at a very rapid rate so assassins could even kill bosses many levels higher than them (or just clear out entire rooms) in a very short amount of time; to 'fix' this the company made the skill absolutely worthless (quite literally, it did no damage after their 'fix') and I don't think they gave a skill reset.
Basically, the core game itself was actually a pretty good diablo-esque dungeon crawler, especially since it was f2p, but it just had so many issues and the company is utterly incompetent, so even if a large amount of it has been fixed (which I doubt) there is probably not much of a community left nor many people willing to give it a try. My suggestion is to try it and if it actually isn't a bug-ridden and unbalanced mess try to generate hype for it (it's certainly easy enough to do around here, although maintaining said hype even for a good game is quite the opposite). |
