Don't blame anything or anyone but yourself. WOW didn't Ruin your life, You ruined your own life. Im not trying to be offensive and i' am sorry for saying this.
But It's the truth, You made your choice and you stuck with it. But it sounds now you got everything under control now, that's good. If you wanna go back into gaming again, I suggest you make yourself a schedule of you study time and free times. I also suggest-Sense your in collage-Not to get into a Major or Big running Guild or making tons of friends in the GAME, For 2 reasons: 1, People may depend on you more, but sense you can't play much don't do these things. 2, It may get in you mind. "What if someone need my help? Oh no I have a guild war, and i'm missing it!" These are just a few from a ton of bothering thoughts that may get in your head awhile your studying= Bad. So it's good to keep away from these things ive told you. Have fun. |

Probably will get a bunch more with the free forever 1-11 thing that's gonna happen.
But those people will probably realize how disappointing of a game it is by then, quit, force the game to go full F2P for a few months until that population dies out, and then the game calls it quits. Sorry Warhammer, I have 0 faith in you. |

But yeah, I'll be sure to keep an eye on those things that really draw me into the game. I mean if I can bring myself out of high school failure and have success in college I'm pretty sure I can do a good job keeping things in order. |

Different people find different things fun. Find what works for you. I played WoW for a long time and never really found it fun myself, it was more to do something with my father and then got sucked in the raiding scene which was not fun for me most of the time. Managing your time as that person mentioned is the most important part. Even my father quit playing wow, it's just very time intensive. Unless you can keep a very rigid schedule stay away from raids, period. Currently, WoW just isn't really a solo or small scale game over the long term. It still is a 10/25-man MMO. You can play it solo but the content is pretty dumbed down outside of the 10/25 raids - you may still find it fun though. Just remember that's it's a game designed around you logging in every month to pay the bills, whether it's through dailies etc.. Just keep the facts in perspective. |

Alright I've been back on WoW for a week so far and I'm really surprised with how responsible I am with playing it. My motto is "Work first, play second." I only sneak in an hour or two when I do actually play but it's so worth it. Because one of the things I didn't mention is that my friends also play it from time to time. I haven't really spoken to my old friends in a while so it's great playing and talking to them all again.
I guess I play WoW to keep in contact with people. I don't even have to go into arenajunkies anymore to keep on top of PvP. A little BG once in a while with a group of 4-5 friends is a blast. *BIG MIDDLE FINGER* To all the free games I've tried. WoW is fun, I shouldn't base my decisions around the bashing opinions it takes... |
