I just got back from playing a lot of Lost Saga. I've got a lvl 8 mage now... but I'm starting to get pretty tired of it... and soon I'll probably quit it like everything else.
The only MMORPG I've really stuck to is WoW, I hate to say it but it's true. That game has just blown away any other MMORPG I've played, especially the free ones; they really just can't hold up a candle to this P2P game. Now I hate WoW because of how it screwed up my high school life, I graduated with a 2.4 GPA, not bad considering I was a heavy WoW addict. When I got into college I quit WoW and I'm getting solid A's on tough exams. I didn't just quit because of college came around but because of how terrible I found PvE to be. But the PvP isn't too bad, it's enough to keep me playing and having fun, better than putting effort into free MMOs and quiting after a few weeks. I sure do study a lot and all, but I always have time leftover even after playing with the piano and going to the gym. I use that time leftover to play games. It's a pretty good amount of time, 2-3 hours each day unless I need some extra sleep. SO I think I might go back to WoW for the PvP. I can PvP a few hours a day and get a decent amount of things done in 2-3 hours, and I'm confident that I can keep up with work and everything as long as I limit my gametime. If I can't managed how much WoW to play a day then I'll have the same trouble managing for any other fun things I do no matter what it is. I've been thinking about it for a while, I've even watched that documentary "Second Skin". But I still haven't come to a decision yet. A lot of people I know look at WoW as a drug, and they really look down on it. I can understand why, but still I'm really tired of playing games that aren't fun. I'm a gamer, and that's not going to change anytime soon so I can't help myself but to just play something. ~Now, does anyone have a problem like this? Or thoughts? Opinions? Be blunt (but be smart about it), I want to see some comments. I heard onrpg is particularly against WoW so I'm interested to see everyone's thoughts. |

DK/Pally are a pain in the ***, but it's not impossible to beat them. Most DK/pally's are amateurs. By amateurs I mean that they will have holes in the way they play, and if you take advantage of those "holes" you can beat them. Plus it's VERY satisfying to beat an overpowered class, especially if they happen to be good.
I honestly find a lot more frustrating to lose against a balanced class/combo. They beat me fair and square, I have no excuse for losing except for being the worse player. It hurts your ego a lot more than "Oh they beat us cause they're OP, big deal". It kind of depends on how you react to losing or winning or just playing against op classes in general. Watching this video http://warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=119787 just reminded of how much fun I CAN have in WoW despite all the negativity around it. @matiasdk You're right the game isn't completely at fault for ruining my life, it just hurt my highschool life =P. But it was my fault for letting it do so, I was young so I wasn't as capable as I am now of controlling how I spend my time. Which is why I'm going back and figuring out whether or not playing WoW is safe now. And I'm just asking for opinions btw... Well I'm getting what I asked for so I'm pretty happy with your comment. Just be sensible about how much you play, and you should be fine. It's not like your required to play WoW every single day for at least 2 hours. Sometimes I would only get on one day in a week and I'd be fine, still did some heroics and PvP and had fun without hardcoring it.
I say you should play it, if I still played MMO's I'd probably end up going back to it. Or trying out Aion. |

I say do what you want, when you wanted. It's your life, you decide.
Who's care about the craps what people said about the game. As long as you have fun, that's all it matters. Last edited by btlv; 11-03-2009 at 03:48 AM. |

WoW is like a drug. Too fun and addicting for its own good, so that people play until their lives are ruined. That's why people are badmouthing it so much - and waiting for their next "fix" in the form of some other game that's just as fun as WoW
