If you want an urban gameplay environment, there is Champions Online, but I heard the game is horrible.

Cyber Punk is always quite a nice theme, although to get a setting right you basically have to have good graphics these days.

I tired of Medieval Fantasy games. It's a horribly overused setting amongst RPGs, MMORPS especially.

Not that say that the theme cannot be done well, there are some that are nice and well made, however, as most MMORPGs have a very low budget and lack any major graphical prowess, in most cases it's, swords, shields, staff, and some oldish looking houses.

As far as I'm concerned, setting and visuals are just as important as gameplay, I'm not a machine, if I'm going to be doing something dull and repetitive, as with all MMORPS, at some stage, at the very least, make it look nice.

I like the enjoy the game world around me, artists put time and effort into making the settings we play in, it seems very short sighted to say that it does not matter.

I want a Steam Punk genre game. I've yet to find any of those, and with one in the possible making from Disney, but I have no clue on how it's development is going..Besides that I only have offline games that are steampunk..

X3:Terran Conflict Universe with the scope of Spore Milky Way with fast paced Freelancer gameplay from the most popular PVP mods and ambience/setting of a X COM game.

Now make seemless transiction between space to planet surface into a

Open Endedness of GTA San Andreas/ GTA 4 with the lore/story/ambience/setting of World of Darkness's White Wolf/CCP.

Add multiple planes of existance connected to each other by random gates that open and close in random areas of the Universe or can be triggered by players giving different possibilities such as:
* brings people to Fantasy Medieval times with Mount and Blade combat, fluid and fully player controlled skill based gameplay in a massivelly Planetside scope, add to that the same World of Darkness lore/setting. (the gameplay itself would own Dragon Age Origins cinematics)
*or bring people to Modern World or Futuristic Sci Fi settings, from Starship Troopers bug infested planets, to Alien infested planets, or imaterial planes of existance, ethereal, spiritual and any other transcendent setting of different religious beliefs/backgrounds (make them real and cohesist at the same time in different planes of existance).

Dont forget the allow the ability to play as insects.

No elfs.

Space, ****ing Space.

Like Space Station + Planets + Aliens + Air Rivals Space Combat + Base Wars with the ground combat of WoW and the Graphics of SUN Online.

Basically a RPG with a Space Shooter side to it.

Ground + Air Combat.

you mean Steampunk.

Another setting i want to see utilized more is the Weird west, as in Wild west setting mixed with Horror and fantasy. Priest online was a prime example.

Besides modern day stuff, I'd say Egyptian. I'm sick and tired of all the european crap and the asian theme just hasn't been applied to the right game yet.

A cyberpunk type of setting would be cool, but if theres advance tech like lasers and light swords or some crap, thats a big turn off. Maybe like 20% cyberpunk (not sci-fi), 70% modern, and 10% grunge. Kind of like some of those animes where theres big cities and abadoned ruined cities where homeless people and broken robot hookers roam around.
