I don't really get what you guys are talking about anymore ;/

Also, any guides I could look at so I know what to build my character into?
There's a US version of Allods and an EU version. Both by gPotato.

I'd join an ONRPG guild, unless I get in with the hardcore players and join a guild for hardcore players :P

Most likely that won't happen..

Keeping my possible igns a secret for now.
Reason: some people have stolen my igns in the past just to be cruel.

Most likely, because you can't find any EU CB beta keys anymore.
Well besides their website, where you register and wait for them to send you an e-mail with the beta key.

But as for US CB, there are tons of keys out there.

I'm actually thinking about just going with the US Allods.
US games are always better than the EU. But I'm just afraid that I might lag alot when the game gets populated. And it WILL be populated, believe me...

Btw, I created a demo website for it.
Named it Apathy atm. We could always change the name.
www.AllodsApathy.tk (If we become a hardcore guild, I'll rename it to .com)

As far as US vs EU versions of games you are generally right, but in this case I feel like EU is handling it better currently. Seems more professional in my eyes. Better site, more update news, and most importantly they are not throwing keys at everyone out there(well as of yet and this could change). The US version just announced the cb out of nowhere and unloaded keys. Which is fun and great for players and the devs, but we all know how an overpopulated cb can be. Only time will tell and in the end they are more than likely identical games besides the different language localizations the EU version will probably have. In any case, I will be trying both of them out and deciding which to play based purely on the community.

Honestly, I think the only way for you to determine who's handling it better is after at least a month+ after launch.

True.
But did you think of it this way?
If you live in the EU, and you're playing the US server, most of the people who play the US server (Americans and such), will be sleeping while you're playing.
Which means, if you join a guild and they have a whole schedule for raids and dungeons, you will most likely not be able to attend to those raids/dungeons, since it's like 4 AM in your timezone.
And vice versa, of course.

I don't really think this applies too much to this game since it is the same company just different divisions. I see what you are saying though and I agree, but in this case I think the only difference in games will be localizations. I could be wrong, doesn't make sense to give one version more updates than the other though. I'm sure they get a patch from the russian devs, make it localized for english, and then the EU team localizes it for other languages and it's pushed out.

Yeah good point, forgot all about that. I usually play around peak time on EU servers since I have weird play times.
