though your right you should pray for the families of the lost ones, they need it more then a spirit.

No, I feel it's disrespectful that he's saying we americans will cry over everyone that dies in the news. What I'm trying to say, for the people who chose to shed the tears, let them and don't generalize them with every citizen living here

It's called sympathy something you don't have it's sad when anyone dies because someone has lost a loved one. But some one like you wouldn't understand that. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't care about the death of someone you love.

That's what you call disrespectful. Fact is, people want to feel like they are "good", so they act sympathetic toward randoms. I will wager money that hardly anyone feels legitimately sad about random death, so why even act like it? Fake sympathy is worse than none. Selective sympathy even worse. |

alot of the time in cases like this i think people are misplacing sympathy. instead of being sympathetic they should be empathetic. so instead of going "thats so sad, i feel terrible *tear" they should in fact be going "i can understand what a loss this is and can respect that people are upset" unless you are involved in some way then anything else than that is probably just amateur dramatics, like when MJ or jade from big brother died. ::edit:: i know this sounds pitiless and cold. |

Ethics/morals are subjective. People believe in different 'rules', and live by them. Nothing universally dis-respectful about it. OR, the whole world could stop after every death, mourn their loss, put up shrines, dedicate a day to them, etc... in which case, we'd run out of memorial days within a minute.

A law enforcement official identified the shooting suspect as Army Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan. The official said Hasan, believed to be in his late 30s, was killed after opening fire at the base. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case publicly.
A defense official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said Hasan was a mental health professional — an Army psychologist or psychiatrist. Officials say it was not clear what Hasan's religion was, but investigators are trying to determine if Hasan was his birth name or if he may have changed his name and converted to Islam at some point. that has so point of being in here. why the **** does it matter? and the other shootings? this was about a guy in the military who shot at his own people. what the hell does that tell you? all the other is bullshit that is thrown in there to show some bias belief. america is simply MORE ridiculous |
