Default Snowboards....help me pick :)

Ok well i got my first paycheck today for 173$ and i want to buy a used snowboard. Sense BRAND NEW ONEs around 300$ and im not saving up cuz my parents make me save every other check. So i have these to ones that i want to pick from on kreigslist. There both close to were i live and most likely im going to meet up with the people to check out the boards. Im currently around 5"7 and 5"8. My friend said i want a board that goes to my chin and idk if i would want a used board that would ware out in like 2 more season or like a brand new board.

This board is like brandnew the guy used it for 1 season as said in the email i got from him. He wants $195 on the page for it but he said he'll let me buy it for $150. THe board is 146cm tho so its probley around the neck.

http://appleton.craigslist.org/spo/1450475746.html

This board is pritty used, which he said he used it around 5 seasons or so and filled in all the gashes and stuff on it. Its $75 with bindings and everything. Also its 155cm which is probley to my chin.

Help me deside cuz snowboarding season is coming soon and i want to get a board and prepare it for the vast winter we shall have in wisconsin

First time snow boarding?

If so, i'd personnaly go with the cheap one so if it isn't your thing you don't lose too much money.

Where i live in canada we have 8 month winters.

I truthfully don't know. Neither brands are name brands really 5150 is kinda but they are known for really bad quality and Head I have never heard of. I would suggest further looking for a 2005 or 2006 Ride, K2, Burton etc they should be about $150 if that since they are 3-4 yrs old. Think of it this way, you can get a brand new 2008 snowboard for 50% off right now so you should be able to get a 3-4yr old used snowboard for well over 80% off.

I would just save up some more, cheaping out on things like this normally isn't a good idea.
