It's right at the beginning. Edit 2: Also Oister, your formula is flawed. Seasons 1 and 2 contain a combined total of 118 episodes. At "1-2 days each" the most these seasons could've taken was 236 days, not even a full year. However, during the Pokemon 2000 movie (which takes place during/at the end of season 2) Ash states he and Pikachu have been together for 2 years. Therefore, time passes that is not seen in the anime.

Welllll...when was the movie released in Japan?
Was it after more episodes were released there? It could have come here before the new seasons were released, because they wanted to push out the movies quicker. Man...I can't believe I'm thinking this hard about Pokemon ![]()
