You only have 1 hard drive at the moment, I assume this is a caviar blue. It's a good choice, but a bit small tbh. You might want to look into the 1TB option, (eg, caviar green), which doesn't cost much more for double the space. If you don't mind the internal sound then it should be ok. The motherboard is a good one for it's price, I don't see why people think it's bad. Has some nice opportunities for overclocking on it. I would highly recommend overclocking this system, it should be able to manage 3.8ghz. Last edited by Wahoo; 11-09-2009 at 05:11 PM. |

This is what I ended up ordering for my new computer from Digital Storm. One note is that a solid state hard drive and a Direct X 11 Video Card will probably be added mid to late 2010 once the prices come down and more options are available.

This comparison says different.
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2...1401.html?prod[2617]=on&prod[2780]=on Remember, the lower the resolution, the more CPU dependent the FPS is. Also, I wouldn't say it's crap, now the AMD build is like, $100-200 cheaper, and only 40 seconds slower, than the i7. Some would say it's a lot, but it's not, if you say it is, well go pick up a book and read for 40 seconds, it's good for you.

There, note: if you actually read, you can see: "...just changing the multiplier..." Can the i7 do that? And the 965 is actually a super overclocker, way higher than the i7 with the same cooler. Edit: Just to prove that AMD have lots of overclocking potential, if you're willing to risk it: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/AMD...cked,7747.html
