Default Pre-Built Computer (iBUYPOWER)

So I'm gonna get a desktop to replace my 8 year old desktop that died a year ago.

I originally wanted to attempt building my own, but after consulting computer savvy family members they suggested against and warned it would cost me even more due to me having clumsy fingers and being generally inept at putting anything together period.
*~They didn't want to help me either the bastards~*

This is what I got.

Case
Nzxt Guardian 921 Gaming Tower Case-Black

Processor
Intel® Core™ i7 920 Processor (4x 2.66GHz/8MB L3 Cache)

Processor Cooling
Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooling Fan System

Memory
6 GB [2 GB X3] DDR3-1333 Triple Memory Module

Video Card
ATI Radeon HD 5870 - 1GB Single Card

Motherboard
Asus P6T -- Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported w/7.1 Sound, Triple-Channel DDR3, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, 3-Way SLI PCI-E MB 3-Way SLI

Power Supply
750 Watt -- Corsair CMPSU-750TX Power Supply SLI Ready

Primary Hard Drive
500 GB HARD DRIVE -- 16M Cache, 7200 RPM, 3.0Gb/s Single Drive

Optical Drive
22X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive-Black

Sound Card
3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard

Network Card
Intel Pro 10/100/1000 Network Card

I generally will use this desktop as my primary gaming machine (Duh).

I will play MMO's mostly/Sims 3 and use Photoshop and generally do my artsy projects on this machine.

I would like to know what is overkill and what isn't exactly up to speed advice advice advice.....

PS: I don't really care about which sound card is on my system everything sounds the same to me and I'm kinda iffy on the mother board from reading another thread on this section.

Thank you

Your family is not tech savvy if they dislike the idea of DIY... Also, why don't you have a family member build it instead, if they're tech savvy, or at least know how to connect parts together or read the manual they can do it..
Here's the build's I would rather get.

You don't need an i7 for photoshopping, a simple AMD quad is good enough. Also, I've seen benchmark that have results of the 965 on par or beating the i7 920 for gaming.
Note: I only change the specs, nothing else. It comes out $1318 before shipping.

Ahhh...Nothing like the people ignorant to change. You just can't accept that the underdog is now giving competition.

Anyway, if AMD sucks so much, why did AMD beat the P4 with the Athlon 64? And why did Intel create the Core 2 line to defeat the Athlon 64x2? Catch my drift? It's a cycle, plus AMD aims for mainstream over crazy powered CPUs.

If you don't believe me that the Athlon 64 beat the P4, look it up.

I would avoid ibuypower.com, they have some pretty horrid reviews. Just ordered my new PC from Digital Storm and it seems fairly epicly. Avoid AMD processors due to the simple fact that their fastest one currently (965 BE) can not hold a candle to the speed of the i7 920.
