Eight was more of a chick flick with guys in, 10 was a chick flick with girls in.

Exactly, Final Fantasy is more about style than a deep story. When you finish the game, you won't get the feeling as if you've just read Kafka or Dostojevskij, but you will feel as if you've just spent a lot of hours experiencing watching stylish movies like Tarantino's ("Kill Bill" to name one).

The only final fantasy game i've ever completed was crystal chronicles and i loved it.

you know like i never actually bothered with most of the final fantasy game i just happen to know a lot about some of them though....seriously after a while all rpgs end up having the same plot... something happens and protagonist ends up on a journey-> protagonist has problems to overcome on journey-> protagonist realizes he must defeat evil dark master dude-> protagonist defeats them gains love & affection from peoples-> protagonist lives happily ever after or dies

i bet that happens in just about every final fantasy/rpg out there either that or the bad guy wins
