I knew since it was taught at one of the middle schools I went to (we actually had to do some research on some of the ingredients used in products, where they come from, why they are listed in certain order, etc.) When I was in high school, I mentioned that to a girl in class one day and her jaw dropped (practically dropped on the desk lol) in shock because she was eating some starbursts at the time.

There's a lot of things that contain some pretty interesting ingredients, such as lipstick.

I feel bad about eating meat and everything...but I've gotta say that I'm glad I do.

If I were to stop eating meat, I'd stop eating everything that came from animals. If I'm going to bother doing it, I might as well go all the way. But there are so many things I'd have to watch out for, it really makes it not worth it for me.

Actually, my buddy Ariel has turned vegetarian this past summer. Lost like 20 lbs since then, but other than that, he's healthy with no problems at all.

You can eat healthy with and without meat. It's just that why the extremes, why always eat meat or never, you can just eat some meat now and then.

Uhh Vegetarians are wanna be Vegans.

When I use to be a vegan I didn't eat any candy, or packaged foods that had more then a few (3-5) ingredients. The more ingredients there are in a food the easier it is for the manufacturer to hide animal products.

But eh I'm not a vegan anymore.....it only lasted a year.

It's hard to stay healthy when you've removed a large portion of foods from your diet - you need to consciously balance what you are eating in order to get all those pesky daily requirements. I ignored all that shit and it's slowly catching up with me... so now I am trying to shift to a protein diet (which is healthier than one mainly composed of carbs).
