This game is a better version of Runes of Magic. Not as much content as WoW, that's about it. If you enjoy WoW type gameplay than this game is for you. By that I mean main source of exp comes from quests and raid-type PvP. Faction wars, etc. That's about it.
I don't like WoW type games, but to be truthful this game is really impressive for a F2P. As mind-numbing as it is

so you're either a basher or a fanboy?
what about us neutral parties who enjoy games for what they are, time wasters. Yes the game isn't ground breaking, does that make it bad? not at all. Unlike games like Aion who were selling themselves out like an action mmorpg, this one just said "we like the feel of old school mmos, so we'll use the way they played." |

well its a closed beta. ill treat it like a closed beta, a lot of things do need fixing.
however if said things were fixed (and most likely will be) the game will be fun. i see the bashing started on time? |

Like I said in the other thread, there is nothing ground breaking about Allods Online. It's just a very polished game with a good atmosphere, with some great PvP features (for those who play in the Russian beta, you'll know what I mean).
The combat system does need work, and the game still is slightly buggy, but it's still in beta status. The game has not even been released yet. I think there are some legitimate concerns and criticisms, but to say the game "sucks" is hilarious, as the tutorial and the beginning alone are 1000x better than nearly every other free to play game out there. People tend to judge the game too much before it's even released as 1.0 yet. Allods Online already in it's closed beta form from 1-10 easily out classes nearly every other F2P game out there. I think you'll be hard pressed to argue that your typical korean F2P grinder is better than this game. Last edited by superstartran; 11-11-2009 at 01:42 AM. |

i like it the combat system favors raids/pvp there doesnt look like there will be any of these potion whores as potions dont give you hp instantly but over time.
the having to use you skills to attack is good because that means the game will always be moving and those with scripts will have a hard time using them all since you can run behind them and make that obsolite. there does appear to be some skill involved. but these bashers just don't have skill so let them rant a ***** because they are obviously a bunch of pre-pubescent children. |
